We’re thrilled to introduce our latest feature: Payroll Calculator, a powerful new addition to Workfolio that helps founders, admins, and HR managers calculate and manage employee payroll based on real work data — not guesswork.

To start using this feature:
Go to Settings → Track Settings
Scroll to the Payroll Settings section
Turn on the "Enable Salary Calculator" option
Once enabled, you'll see "Payroll Calculator" appear in the left-side menu of your Workfolio dashboard.
✅ What is Payroll Calculator?
Payroll Calculator is an intelligent, rule-based payroll engine built right into Workfolio. It uses actual timesheet and productivity data to calculate how much you owe each team member — instantly and accurately.
It empowers admins and HR managers to:
Define if salaries are hourly or daily
Set how pay is calculated: total hours, active hours, or productive app time
Instantly generate payrolls for any selected period
Export payroll data for accounting or recordkeeping
Mark entries as Paid for clean audit trails
Let team members view their earned, paid, and pending salaries
You can configure salary rules for each team member:
💵 Salary BasisHourly Salary — Define how much is paid per hour worked
Daily Salary — Set a fixed amount per working day
Total Work Hours — Based on clock-in to clock-out time
Active Hours — Only time spent actively on the system
Productive App Time — Time spent on designated productive tools
Once rules are defined, admins get a dynamic payroll view:
Team-wide salary report for the selected period
See salary details per user including hours worked and amount earned
Export to Excel in one click
Mark salaries as Paid for recordkeeping

Each team member can view their:
Earned salary (this week, this month, or any custom period)
Payment status — Paid or pending
Work hour breakdown that drives the calculation
